Work description
The aim of this project is the provision of a new modern, sustainable two storey building for Kidbrooke Park Primary School offering high quality educational facilities. BREEAM excellent is the target for the school. The building scope is that of BB103 2-Form Entry School (30 students per class) with 26-place Nursery and 18-place Learning Centre, with no current expansion proposed. This reduces the impact of the school on the site and surrounding properties, due to its reduced footprint. The projects landscaping objectives include the main school entrance being located off Holburne Road as well as 14 car parking spaces and 2 disabled parking spaces, a new outdoor Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) available for community use in and out of school hours. A pupil entrance from Kellaway Road, and 69 cycle parking spaces for pupils, staff and visitors. The project should be delivered in an environment which represents best practice and supports a focus on educational improvement. The project should be delivered in accordance with the Master Programme.
