Work description
The University of Salford campus at Media City is located across the bottom four floors of the Orange Tower. Home to the University's media related courses the campus contains purpose-built studios and multiple data centres. The heating and ventilation within are controlled by a Siemens Desigo CC BMS.
On the 2nd floor, there is an external plant space that contains 3No AHUs, several AC condensers and a BMS outstation. The BMS control cabling emanating from the outstation in the plant space is deteriorating. The outer protective sheath is crumbling and exposing the cores within to the outside elements.
To avoid the premature failure of the cabling and subsequently the control system the University would like to replace the cabling
