Invitation to Tender for the Supply and Delivery of Mobile Plant Equipment and Associated Maintenance, Warranty, Servicing and Training

The University is tendering for the following equipment;

1) one light/medium performance telehandler 2)  one mobile elevating work platform (MEWP), to allow equipment to be adjusted or monitored as necessary. The MEWP, could be a classic MEWP, a cherry picker or a scissor lift.

As a minimum, the equipment must be provided with at least 3 years warranty, maintenance and initial training included. This tender also includes the option to extend associated maintenance, warranty servicing and training for up to 2 further years, (up to a maximum period of 5 years) from delivery of equipment.

Tenderers may tender for just one or both pieces of equipment. University of Chester may award to one or more suppliers, whilst reserving the right to not award for any of the equipment.

The estimated contract value is based on anticipated quantities, outlined within the tender. Tenderers are advised that actual demand and volumes may vary, as over the period of the contract term, additional requirements may be identified, or reduced.

Appointed supplier/s may therefore be required to supply requirements below, or in addition to, what has initially been specified within this tender to fulfil the project’s needs.

Consequently, there is no guarantee of the volume, nor value, of business placed with any individual supplier/s, during the contract term. One or separate individual orders may therefore be placed.

Dates provided are subject to change.

This tender, (and subsequent awarded contract/s), may comprise of requirements that are funded by external bodies, inclusive of ERDF funded projects.
