MCP - Landscape Architect (CFA)

Act as Landscape Architect for the project.

Attend City, Design, Project, Construction and other meetings as required including stakeholder involvement and tenant consultation.

Provide the Architectural landscape design ensuring that it is fully coordinated with all other Design Team disciplines.

Design the Works to meet the City's desired objectives and outputs.

Ensure environmental considerations are taken into account and sustainable solutions are evaluated, at each stage of design.

Liaise with the Project Manager & Design Team, contribute to and maintain the Programme for the design, procurement and construction of the Project.

Liaise with the Project Manager & Design Team and contribute to regular/monthly quality, progress and cost reports

Contribute, review and comment formally against the Employers Requirements on any alternative proposals put forward by the Contractor.

Undertake value management exercises as required.

Comply with the CDM Regulation

Undertake risk assessments and participate in risk workshops and mitigation as necessary.

Where the City has indicated the possibility of a change to the agreed brief during the design phase, inform the Employer of the implications of the change and obtain City instructions

Examine the tender received, in relation to relevant design discipline, and make recommendations to the City and Project Manager and advise on any corrective action which may be required if the lowest tender is higher than the approved cost for the works

Manage the project within the Clients budget, noting that additional fee claims will not be entertained should value engineering be required if Client budget is exceeded.

Act as Technical Advisor role to the Client during RIBA Stages 3-6 as set out in this scope.
