## Description

Royal Berkshire Fire Authority is currently undertaking a review of its entire property portfolio to ensure that is fit for purpose and provides for a modern fire and rescue service\. The first project which has been approved for funding is the refurbishment of Hungerford retained duty Fire Station\. Due to the importance of the station in relation to the area it serves, the refurbishment work needs to be carried out to strict timescales so that the station is out of commission for the shortest possible time\. The Authority has approved a budget which includes an estimated NCV of £500k\. Works have been planned to commence in August 2016, with completion and handover of a fully operational station by the end of April 2017\. Due to the complex nature of fire service operational properties the Authority is keen to appoint a contractor that: • can demonstrate relevant emergency service experience within the team that will be established for this project • has delivered similar relevant emergency service projects to time and budget • will offer collateral warranties for all sub contractor work • can attend site within an hour to deal with any issues arising during the build phase Additional information: Please refer to our In-Tend portal Is a Recurrent Procurement Type? : No https://in-tendhost\.co\.uk/rbfrs/aspx/
