Description
Since 6th April, Westminster Council is liable to pay an apprenticeship levy which can be used by the Council to fund the training and assessment costs of apprenticeships for both existing staff and for new recruits. The apprenticeship levy can only be used to fund training against an approved apprenticeship standards and delivered by an approved apprenticeship training provider on the Register of Apprenticeship Training Providers (RoATP). Due to the changes in the market and the uncertainty regarding the provision of Commercial Apprenticeships it is proposed that a short term solution is put in place to ensure that Apprenticeships can commence ASAP. To date this training has not been delivered and Westminster will be among the first to commence delivery.
