SO15486 Provision of IPS Protection Contract

Home Office Police Live Services (PLS) supports the National Police Systems which brings with it a requirement to comply with various security policies and codes of connection that dictate what security measures are mandatory. Home Office PLS is the department of the Home Office responsible for managing national police systems such as the Police National Computer and the national DNA database. The Schengen Project requires a Checkpoint firewall appliance to have Intrusion Prevention Solution (IPS) as a requirement for accreditation. This has now run out of support and the business has approval to acquire this October 2015 to 30th April 2016, as part of the Checkpoint User Centre.
