Work description
The Legal Aid Agency (LAA) is inviting responses from Applicants to its Invitations To Tender ("ITTs") for the delivery of publicly funded civil legal aid services from 1 September 2018 under a 2018 Standard Civil Contract ("Face to Face Contract" or "Contract") in the following Categories of Law:
• Family; • Housing, Debt and Welfare Benefits; • Immigration and Asylum (including work at Immigration Removal Centres ("IRCs")); • Mental Health; • Community Care; • Claims Against Public Authorities (formerly known as 'Actions Against the Police etc'); • Clinical Negligence; • Public Law; • Family Mediation.
Whilst in the majority of categories of law and geographical areas there was a good level of demand for the available work, the LAA considered it necessary to launch a Supplemental face to face procurement process to procure additional services in a small number of areas and categories; family immigration and asylum and housing and debt. The LAA were aware that some organisations did not submit a tender or failed to submit a compliant tender for specific Categories of Law or Procurement Areas in the previous processes so the LAA invited further tenders in all categories of law and procurement areas called the Further Face to Face process.
Additional information: All tender documentation for all 3 tenders can be found at www.gov.uk/publications/civil-tender-2018
Please note the contract start date under all procurement processes is either 1 September 2018 or 1 October 2018
