Work description
Kirklees Council is looking to secure a new supplier for professional, expert fire risk assessment services to comply with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, Section 156 of the Building Safety Act and the Housing Act 2004, under which, Kirklees Council has a statutory duty to regularly assess and take precautions to prevent the risk of fire in relation to life safety.
The key objectives of the service are to provide suitable and sufficient fire risk assessments to include the risks from fire to which relevant persons are exposed, identifying the general fire precautions which the responsible person must take, and advising on the significant findings in relation to the requirements imposed by The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 ('RRO') and The Fire Safety Act 2021. In addition, it will advise on general fire precautions that ensure, as far as reasonably practicable, the safety of all relevant persons, and that the premises are safe from fire and meet the requirements of the RRO.
