Supply and Delivery of Rasco Spare and Replacement Parts from Pelican Engineering

DfI Roads provide winter service gritting actions on 107 designated routes. This is operated through a total winter service gritting fleet of 133 vehicles of which 26 are held as strategic spare vehicles. Currently 23 vehicles have gritting bodies manufactured by Rasco. Throughout the duration of the gritting bodies life components and hardware fail due to wear, damage or fatigue. Failed components and hardware must be replaced quickly to ensure that winter service gritting functions can be completed. Direct Award Contract (DAC) is due to the fact that Rasco manufactured gritting spare and replacement parts can only be supplied directly from Pelican Engineering Ltd. Rasco is a Croatian company represented by Pelican Engineering Limited who has exclusive rights to body sales and spare/replacement parts sales within the UK and Ireland.
