Hertfordshire Coroner Service is required to provide investigative and administrative service to HM Coroners for the coronial area of Hertfordshire, in accordance with the Coroners & Justice Act 2009\. The Coroner Service has a requirement for the provision of Body Removal Services and is seeking suitably qualified contractors to deliver this service\. Contractors are required to remove the deceased from the place of death and other locations where the death may be referred to a Coroner and take them directly to a hospital mortuary or their premises unless otherwise directed by the police\. Contractors may also be required to conduct the transfer of the deceased between hospitals\.
