As part of the University of Sunderland estates strategy the university are proceeding with the demolition of the Forster Building. Built in 1975, Forster building is a 4-storey building comprising 1840sqm ground floor and 3 additional floors of circa 530sqm each with a large, enclosed car park to its South elevation. It is bounded on all 4 elevations by adopted highways, South and West being residential streets. The intention is to demolish the building including grubbing up all foundations and leave the site level with fresh topsoil.
