NU/1819 Insurance Brokering Service

Description

The scope of this contract is for the supply of an insurance brokering service including, but not limited to, the following: - • To work with the University on the full insurance tendering exercise for insurance products • Review and provide advice on the levels and types of cover appropriate for the University including the development and implementation of an insurance programme for the University • Assistance and advice on and negotiation of, renewal terms and premiums, including pre-renewal meetings • Advice on and full compliance with the Above Threshold Procurement Directives for implementing renewals • Operational Risk Management advice, support and guidance based on insurance programme and activities of the university • Issuance of policy documentation • Provision of template documents • Summary of cover for all policies • Provision of webpages for main policies • Full claims management service including: o Administration and support o Liaison with loss adjusters /assessors o Additional support on major claims o Site visits following loss or damage o Provision of monthly and quarterly claims report o Day to day support including technical/specialist advice • Advising on best practice in terms of procedures and processes used by the University in its insurance administration ensuring that the University is kept up to date on any development or change in the insurance market • Full use of IT to facilitate record keeping, analysis of data and speedy communication • Benchmarking University insurance strategy against best practice • Advice and proposals for increasing value for money • Annual Service Review meetings • Access to whole of market policies for general and specialist insurances including international exposures such as for our campuses in Singapore and Malaysia where required.
