Description
Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust requires asbestos removal services for Leighton Hospital. The services include specialist support for both planned and reactive asbestos removal works, general maintenance activities and emergency works as required by the Trust. Typical activities include, but are not limited to: • Drilling and installing fixings • Core drilling • Encapsulations • Window and glazing removal • Minor asbestos cleans and litter picks • Watching briefs and survey assistance • RAAC removal and pocket cutting • Minor demolition activities Controlled removal of non-licensed asbestos-containing materials (ACMs), including: • Asbestos cement • Asbestos-containing paints and coatings (e.g., Artex) • CAF gaskets, asbestos rope, and rope/textile gaskets • Asbestos-containing mastic • Soil and vent pipes, gutters, flashing, and window drip trays • Felt and roofing materials • Pipes, conduits, and non-licensed pipe lagging • Pipe hangers and box ducting • Bitumen and asbestos cement pipes • Electrical components such as fuse boxes, cabling, flash guards, and fuse tape • Residual materials from old enclosures, expanding foam, fillers, and similar products
