Work description
We have developed an outcome framework to support the implementation of the Fund's new strategy. We intend to carry out qualitative research with grantholders, which is necessary in order to test the suitability of the framework, and to ensure it can be used to create evidence from grantholders that helps us understand the Fund's impact.
Breakdown of Work: The exact research approach will be determined in partnership with the eventual research supplier. However, the work will entail qualitative research in the form of individual or group interviews, either online, by phone or in person, with a sample of grantholders. This will: - Confirm whether the outcomes work for grantholders/identify what changes might be needed. - Identify and explore how certain outcomes might not work for grantholders. - Explore how to develop 'criteria' and guidance to help grantholders answer questions about (and provide data to support) these outcomes.
Intended Contract Deliverables: A report that: - Provides insights into grantholders' understandings of the outcome framework, including how this varies by type of grantholder, and the extent to which the outcome framework 'makes sense' to different sections of our customer base. - Includes recommendations of how to make outcomes clearer, where needed. - Details the type of evidence that could be generated by grantholders, by type and, in conjunction, which outcomes should be taken forward, amended or rejected. - Develops guidance that the Fund can provide to grantholders, enabling them to produce valid and consistent data to inform the outcome frameworks.
