Description

In accordance with government policy UK Gov ETS Policy the Royal Air Force (RAF) are required to record and report carbon emissions for certain types of flight (primarily military flights on civilian registered ac and non-military flights on military registered aircraft) that emanate from the UK and terminate in the EU economic area. The carbon emissions for the subject flights require the RAF to purchase UK carbon credits (openly traded commodity) which are then surrendered through the Emissions Trading Scheme. This procurement was carried out through Crown Commercial Framework RM6251
