Purchase of one Quant Studio 5 package

Public Health England (PHE) discharges its duties as a Category 1 Responder to emergencies on behalf of the Secretary of State for Health within the scope of the Civil Contingencies Act 2004 (CCA 2004). To respond to the recent COVID-19 outbreak PHE has award a contract to ThermoFisher Scientific for the provision of one Quant Studio 5 to ensure continuity of service.

This requirement is for the National Infection Service laboratories at PHE's Porton Down site.

PHE has awarded the contract via direct award under Lot 1 of the PHE Microbiology Framework.
