INVITATION TO TENDER FOR THE REFURBISHMENT OF THE ATHLETICS TRACK AT DOWN GRANGE SPORTS FACILITY

Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council ('the Council') is seeking an experienced contractor to refurbish the athletics track at the Down Grange sports facility in Basingstoke. The track has been synthetic since at least the mid-1980s. It was resurfaced in summer 1999 with a Mondo Sportflex Super X Classic synthetic surface. The existing Mondo athletics track surface was replaced with a 'Sandwich' system in around 2005. The venue currently holds a full UKA Competition Certificate. The current usage of the track facilities is mainly by Basingstoke and Mid Hants Athletics Club, who train and host competitions at the track. The facility is also let for school use and is open for public use.
