## Description

The purpose of the contract is the re-surfacing in dense bitumen macadam \(DBM\) of a section of the existing tow-path adjacent to the Sankey Canal at Spike Island , Widnes\. The works comprise the re-surfacing in DBM of 171m length x 2\.5m width of existing gravel and stone surfaced towpath path including installation of pin kerb edging to back of tow-path\. The location is the Sankey Canal at Spike Island, Widnes\. Access to the site and compound location is off Queensway \(A557\) Widnes, via the entrance to Tarmac Depot \(Unit 10\)\. The nearest residential postcode is WA8 7UF\.
