Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) Processing and Haulage Procurement - AWARD

Description

North and East Hertfordshire Councils operate a shared waste collection, recycling and street cleaning service. The shared service has been in operation since 2018, with services provided by a third party. Hertsmere Borough Council operates in-house waste and recycling collection services. This procurement is being conducted on behalf of all three Councils and is led by North Hertfordshire Council (the "Council"). The Councils will work closely together throughout the procurement and officers representing all three Councils will be involved in the evaluation of submissions. The procurement is for the bulk transfer or direct delivery, processing and sale of recyclable materials. This procurement is being conducted under the Restricted procedure and is set out as two 'Lots'. Lot 1 is for the provision of services for North and East Hertfordshire Councils and Lot 2 is for the provision of services for Hertsmere Borough Council. The intention is to award two contracts, one for each 'Lot'.
