## Description

PHE has awarded an interim contract to Life Technologies Ltd \(Thermo Fisher Scientific\) for the provision of purchase of TaqMan SARS-CoV-2 Mutation panel to facilitate in the identification and discrimination of the SARS CcV 2 variants VOC20DEC01, VOC20DEC02 and VOC21JAN02 \. The roll out of these panels will help to increase the national coverage of the identification of SARS-CoV-2 across the country\. It is a PHEwide 6 month contract with an option to extend for a further 6 months\.
