Medical Intervention Training

Description

North Yorkshire Council have awarded a contract following a Further Competition through the Training and Learning Approved Provider List for external medical training provision for staff working in Residential Care, Day Care facilities, Children's Resource Centres, and Integrated Passenger Transport Assistants. These staff support individuals with advanced care needs, including: • Medication Administration (Diabetes management involving blood sampling and injections) • Epilepsy Management (administration of midazolam via buccal or nasal routes in emergencies) • Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy (PEG) Care and Feeding • Catheter Care • Other medical needs as and when required Training includes competency assessments, will be delivered at Council-provided venues across North Yorkshire, and will be demand led.
