Work description

The contract is for the extension and refurbishment of the existing Queensferry Gardens Children’s Home which is a circa 1970’s traditional brick and blockwork constructed building, a little bigger than a pair of semi-detached houses. The building currently contains six bedrooms and is designed along the lines of a large family home. The contract will be to build a single storey extension at the rear of the building to form a games room, to convert the existing garage into a small self-contained flat, to change the existing bedrooms into rooms with shower and toilet facilities and study areas, to create a ground floor bedroom to cater for a child with mobility issues, to refurbish the kitchen, dining room and living room and to enhance the staff facilities.
