Description
Natural England want to encourage partnership working to create and agree a vision for Bowland Fells which delivers positive outcomes for nature whilst accounting for the socio-economic needs of those living and working in the area. Stakeholder engagement and participation is a key aim for the project so that those interested in or potentially impacted by the issues identified above have the opportunity to inform and shape priorities and any future management decisions that are taken to address them. Rather than Natural England develop a vision and a strategy to achieve it in isolation, and then take this to stakeholders for discussion, we want to engage with them at the outset so that vision and strategy are co-created with them. One of the ways we want to create this opportunity is through stakeholder participation in visioning and strategy development workshops. This contract was awarded by NE.
