Work description
Developing and retaining the Advanced Clinical Practice (ACP) workforce is a strategic priority for the NHS. The NHS Long-Term People Plan (LTP) recognises the potential of ACP meeting short term and long-term workforce demands; whilst the People Plan (PP) is heavily supportive of scaling up and delivering new roles and models of ACP. HEE's ACP Programme will support this agenda by working collaboratively across the health and care system, to develop safe and effective advanced level practitioners who can be relied upon to provide high quality patient care regardless of role or setting. A clinical career pathway and targeted continuing professional development have the potential to support the retention of highly valued and skilled staff and facilitate workforce transformation. It is a key deliverable of advancing dental careers.
In line with the above, this contract has been commissioned in order to develop credentials to cover multi-professional roles within Oral Health in both Adult and Paediatric arenas.
This contract has been awarded via NHS Shared Business Services Framework - Consult 18: Multidisciplinary Consultancy Services
